PRS introduction

PRS definition

Peer Mentor (PRS) is a student who has been trained in basic communication and counseling skills. It serves as an effective friends to their peers, especially those who need help. PRS does not work to give advice and solve problems of friends but being a sensitive listener to other people's feelings, passionate and caring and willing to serve in the school system.

Principles PRS Service

  1. Ready and willing to help a friend in need, regardless of religion, race, gender, status, behavior and physical health.
  2. Peer Mentor services shall be carried out based on PRS ethics.

PRS should be equipped with the knowledge, behavior, relationships, skills, creativity and faith to be able to help others.

Develop and produce individuals who are balanced in terms of physical, emotional, spiritual, intellectual and philosophical and ethical excellence based on Peer Mentor.

PRS Goals

  1. Developing a culture of affection and mutual help among students.
  2. Students build self-confidence and appreciate the values ​​based on the belief in God.

  4. Through positive influence and integration in other activities, PRS can play a role in helping reduce the problem of misconduct among students.


PRS Objectives

  1. Building a PRS team trained to help a friend in terms of academic, behavior, emotional and personal.
  2. Provide support services for counseling services to fill the increasing demand in PRS services.
  3. Train students in the basic skills that enable them to interact effectively with partners and other individuals.


PRS Ethics
PRS must adhere to the following ethics:
  1. Trust and secrecy.
  2. Accepting and respecting friends and others.
  3. Know the limitations and abilities.
  4. Always strive to improve yourself from various aspects.
  5. Report to the Guidance and Counseling Teacher Full Time about cases that may damage themselves or others.
  6. Refer cases to the Guidance and Counseling Teacher Full Time.
  7. Comply with school rules and norms of society and religion.
